It is  15 years since ''Magic'' Patrick Mboma scored a stunning overhead kick against France

Oct 4 2000, Stade de France- Patrick Mboma Dem scored one of the most memorable goals in the history of the Indomitable Lions.

Just three days after grabbing a gold medal at the Olympic games in Sydney, the Indomitable Lions challenged then World Champions, France at the Stade de France in an international friendly.

The memorable overhead kick

Trailing a goal to nil, Patrick Mboma popped up with an overhead kick from a Pierre Wome throw to restore parity for the then African and Olympic Champions.

His heroics  that year earned him a nomination in the 50-man list for the Ballon d'Or won by Luis Figo that year.

Mboma who is presently going through his coaching badges was recently appointed assistant coach of French side Paris FC.
