Nounkeu makes Bursaspor switch

The 29-year old completed the move from Galatasaray on Thursday after spending last season on loan in France.

Cameroon international defender Dany Nounkeu has officially joined Turkish Super League side Bursaspor, the club officially announced on their twitter account on Thursday.

Nounkeu, 29, would undergo a medical on Friday before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.

The defender started his senior professional career in 2009 with French Ligue 1 side Toulouse before joining Turkish side Gaziantespor 2010 where his impressive performances earned him a big-money move to Galatasaray in 2012.

Flying high?: Nounkeu could not reach higher heights at Galatasaray
He was however deemed surplus to requirements at the Turk Telekom Arena last season and was farmed out on loan to French side Evian TG.

Nounkeu was part of the Indomitable Lions squad that flopped at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and has since not been recalled to the squad.

He returns to Turkey where he would meet former Lions' team mates Aurelien Chedjou (Galatasaray), Stéphane Mbia(who recently joined Trabzonspor), Samuel Eto'o (who joined Antalyaspor this summer), Achille Webo(Osmanlispor) and a host others.

West Ham Confirm Song Talks

The Hammers have stepped up their pursuit of the Barcelona midfielder who spent last season on loan at Upton Park..

West Ham have confirmed  talks with Barcelona for a permanent deal for Cameroon international Alex Song.

Barcelona are willing to let the 27-year old leave Camp Nou with West Ham reportedly keen to seal a permanent switch following the player's successful loan spell at Upton Park last season.

''We are in contact but it is not for the media yet,'' new Hammers boss Slaven Bilic told reporters at a Press conference on Tuesday.

Song impressed for West Ham last season  on loan
The former Arsenal man is expected to spend three months on the sidelines with an ankle injury but that has not put off the Premiership side who hope to wrap up a deal before the new season kicks off in two weeks.

''We are not trying to get many (players). But if we can find a player or a couple who will make us better then we definitely want to do it,'' Bilic who replaced Sam Allardyce as West Ham manager in the summer said.

''We have to like the player. The player has to be available, but if they are available for a reasonable amount of money and are good investment then why not.

''I am happy with my squad but the transfer window is very open and it is possible players will come and go.''

Song made 31 appearances in all competitions for West Ham last season after joining the club from Barcelona where he failed to secure regular playing time following his £12m move from Arsenal in 2012.

Both clubs have been stalling on a fee for the player with Barcelona demanding a fee in the region of £6m while the Hammers want to take the midfielder on a Bosman fee.
