Nounkeu makes Bursaspor switch

The 29-year old completed the move from Galatasaray on Thursday after spending last season on loan in France.

Cameroon international defender Dany Nounkeu has officially joined Turkish Super League side Bursaspor, the club officially announced on their twitter account on Thursday.

Nounkeu, 29, would undergo a medical on Friday before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.

The defender started his senior professional career in 2009 with French Ligue 1 side Toulouse before joining Turkish side Gaziantespor 2010 where his impressive performances earned him a big-money move to Galatasaray in 2012.

He was however deemed surplus to requirements at the Turk Telekom Arena last season and was farmed out on loan to French side Evian TG.

Nounkeu was part of the Indomitable Lions squad that flopped at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and has since not been recalled to the squad.

He returns to Turkey where he would meet former Lions' team mates Aurelien Chedjou (Galatasaray), Stéphane Mbia(who recently joined Trabzonspor), Samuel Eto'o (who joined Antalyaspor this summer), Achille Webo(Osmanlispor) and a host others.
