FT: Cameroon 0-3 Nigeria

Greetings everywhere and embraces all over the pitch for the Nigerians after a deserved win over Cameroon. This will certainly ease the pressure on Sunday Oliseh and he is visibly relieved as he waves in the direction of the Nigerian supporters before making his way into the dressing room. For Cameroon, Volekr Finke will have more questions to as to the choice of his full backs as Nigeria effectively exploited this weakness. Full Time Nigeria 3 Cameroon 0 . Thanks for being with us and see you next time for another live text commentary.

90+3' FULL TIME  NIGERIA 3-0 CAMEROON

90+2  We are now in the final minutes of the game as Nigeria look to play on time.

Ighalo rose higher above the Cameroon defence to beat Ndy Assembe to put the game to bed. The Watford man has been in fine form for his Premier Legue side and he has carried that form into the national team as Nigeria will certainly now run out with the game.

87' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 3-0 Nigeria

85'Nigeria are going for the kill as they are camped inside the Cameroon half.

84' Fai Collins and Salli Edgar exchange passes as they look to break through the Nigerian defence but Ambrose stands his ground and breaks down that attack.

The substitutions  look to have killed the tempo of the game.

80' Cameroon look to charge forward with Abubakar and Moukandjo but the Nigeria defence clear their lines.

77 Substitution for Nigeria Ahmed MUSA makes way for Alex Iwobi. The Nigerian skipper has been a thorn in the Cameroon defence.

74' Mandjang is now tested at left back by Igbonu but he deals well with the threat as Cameroon gets a goal kick.

72' Substitution for Nigeria Mikel Obi makes way for Igbonu

71' Another substitution for Cameroon as Fabrice Ondoa makes way for Ndy Assembe

Fai Collins switches flanks as he slots in at right back while Kombi goes to his preferred left back position.

67' Substitution for Cameroon : Fai Collins comes in for Sebastien Bassong

65' Nigeria look settled in the half now and half crowded the midfield as they look to dominate possession.

Mikel Obi threads a fine ball on the counter for Simon Moses as he beats the Cameroon defence for pace before slotting pass Ondoua. Cameroon now have a mountain to climb with ten men.

60' Goalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Simon Moses makes it 2-0 for Nigeria

59' Nicolas Nkoulou gets the better of John Mikel Obi at the

55' Vincent Abubakar, Bassong and Moukandjo exchange passes at the edge of the Nigerian box  and the Lorient man tries his luck with a curling effort but his effort is just off target.

54' Fabrice Ondoua takes a free kick after Bassong is brought down by Ahmed Musa.

50' Cameroon have responded well since going down to ten men as Sebastien Siani is winning the midfield battle.

48' Cameroon will have to do it with ten men. Salli Edagar has come on for Cameroon as Kweuke mkes way.

47' It's a Red Card !!!!!!! for Stephane Mbia. It had been coming as the Trabzonspor man has been throwing in a series of rash challenges in the first half. He picks up a second yellow after that heavy challenge on a Nigeria player.

46' Nigeria get us underway....

- The players are back on the pitch for the second half as Cameroon look to claw back into the game. Nigeria's midfield trio have dominated Cameroon's two in midfield while the full backs for Cameroon have looked uncomfortable. Interesting to see if Finke will ring the changes.

The Indomitable Lions started brightly but Nigeria weathered the storm after ten minutes and  were on the front foot for over half an hour and deservedly took the lead. The full backs look uncomfortable for Cameroon as Nigeria have exploited this weakness. Cameroon have made little use of Clinton Njie and Moukandjo apart from the final minutes of the first half which produced their best chaces of the game. Volker Finke will be scratching his head in the dressing room as he seeks to draw his charges back into the game while Sunday Oliseh will be pleased with his Eagles as he looks to ease the pressure after a very difficult week. We are in for a heated second half

45+1' Half Time as Nigeria go into the locker room deservedly infront.

44' Another CHANCE!!!!!! Njie again plays Kweuke through on goal but the Rizepor striker lacks the connection to beat the Nigerian goalkeeper at the far post.

43' Cameroon are making use of their wingers as Moukandjo beats Echiejile for pace and sends in a delightful cross but once again the finish leaves much to be desired.

42' What a Chance!!!!! Njie beats the Nigerian right back and whips a delightful cross but Kweuke lacks the right connection and Carl Iheme collects for Nigeria.

39' The Cameroon defence looks rattled as Emenike looks to impound more misery on the Lions but Mandjang stands firm to clear.

38'Goaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll for Nigeria Efe Ambrose scores. The Celtic defender rises higher than everybody in the box to beat Fabrice Ondoua from the resulting free kick. 1-0 Nigeria and deservedly so.

37' Nigeria have a beautiful free kick at the edge of the Cameroonian box after Onazi is brought down by Siani.

33' Cameroon counter swiftly as Aboubakar puts Kweuke through but Balogun recovers to clear for a corner which is cleared by Abdulahi.

YELLOW CARD MBIA

31' Nigeria are lining up passes ifront of the Cameroonian box s Onazi skips pas Mbia with ease before hitting a weak shot into the hands of Fabrice Ondoua.

29' Cameroon win the first corner of the game after Njie beats Abdulahi for pace but Balogun is there to clear for a corner.

25' Cameroon look sluggish in their passing as Mbia plays a poor ball to Bassong who  under pressure plays it out for a Nigerian throw.

22' Kombi Mandjang is fingding it difficult coping at right back and the Nigerians are exploiting this weakness as Emenike beats him for pace but Chedjou is fast to clear before he makes his way into the box.

20' Cameroon seeing a bit of possession but the Nigerian defence keeps a high line making it dificult for the Lions to break them down. Njie is robed off the ball as Nigeria sprint forward but Ondoa deflect Emenike's shot.

18' Emenike charges down on Kombi Mandjang but Moukandjo tracks back to double up on the Al Ain fforward who has been a thorn in the Cameroon defence as the ball is cleared away.

16' Nigeria are really putting pressure on Cameroon and they find it difficult to move the ball out of their own half  as Kombi plays a wrong pass to Moukandjo that goes out for a throw.

15' It is a bright spell for the Super Eagles as Ondoa is forced to panick-clear the ball and Cameroon almost paid for that as Nigeria immediately reloads the attack but the Cameroon defence clears through Mbia

14' Nigeria are trying to use the right side of Cameroon's defence for all their attacks as Simon almost got the better of Kombi but Nkoulou doubles up and clears the ball.

12' Nigeria win a free kick inside the Cameroon half as Onazi is brought down but Mikel and Musa make a mess of it.

10' Cameroon try to bring down the tempo of the game after a heated start as Sian and Mbia play the ball around the Cameroon half.

8' Stephane Mbia has been rugged in midfield and is lucky not to have been booked so early on.

7' So close for Nigeria as Ahmed Musa plays the ball into Emenike who holds off Chedjou before in the box before a week shot cum cross is cleared off the line by Kombi Mandjang.

6' Nigeria win a free kick deep inside the Cameroon half but Mikel's free kick is repelled by the Cameroonian defence as Clinton Njie immediately tries to counter but is halted by the Nigerian defence.

5' Cameroon work the ball again as Sebastien Siani switches play to Moukandjo who this time is brought down by Echiejile. Good start for Cameroon and a key battle seems underway between Moukandjo and Echiejile.

4'Cameroon are trying to work the ball in the Nigerian half as Kweuke switches the ball to Moukandjo- but it's an over hit ball and Echiejile collects the ball for a Super Eagles' throw in.

3' It's a bit  scrappy for the start as both sides tussle to control the midfield forcing Mikel to fell down Leonard Kweuke- free kick for Cameroon in the Nigerian half.

2' Nigeria win a free kick in the middle of the park after Stephane Mbia brings down Igbonu in
midfield.
