Choupo Moting returns with a bang

The Cameroonian striker was on target as Schalke 04 thrashed Werder Bremen on the opening day of the Bundelisga.

Eric Maxime Choupo Moting registered his first goal in the opening day of the German league as he netted in the 68 minute to help his side to a three nil away win over Werder Bremen.

After a first half own goal from Theodor Gebre Selassie, Choupo Moting doubled Schalke's lead in with a fine effort at the 68 minute before Klass Jan Huntelaar rounded off the scoring.
Happy return for Choupo Moting
The 26-year old was one of the standout performers in the game alongside his compatriot Joel Matip who apart from providing an assist for Choupo Moting's goal was solid at the back as they finished the game with a clean sheet.

Another Matip who was on the winning side on Saturday after was Joel's older brother Marvin who was solid in defence as his newly promoted side Ingolstadt pulled a shock one nil win away at Mainz.

We would be bringing you a comprehensive round up of the performances of Cameroonians in the diaspora on Tuesday....
