Nyom ruled out of Gambia game

The defender was expected to return to the Indomitable Lions squad for the first time since the 2014 World Cup.

Cameroon defender Allan Nyom has been ruled out of Sunday's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Gambia in Banjul due to family reasons, the team's press officer has said.
The wait continues for Nyom....

The defender has not played for the Lions since the 2014 World Cup and would have to wait a bit longer after ''family reasons'' prevented him from joining his mates who are currently in camp ahead of Sunday's game.

''Nyom had permission from the head coach(Volker Finke) to attend to family issues. He will not be in camp,'' Lions' team press officer, Vincent de Paul Atangana said.

Nyom is the third player ruled out of next Sunday's game following the withdrawals of Clinton Njie and Aurelien Chedjou through injuries.
