Lions en route to Niger

The Indomitable Lions have left Paris for Niamey where they would face Niger on Friday in the first leg of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The players held their first training sessions on yesterday in Paris with 21 out of the 24 players present.

The players later had a meeting in the evening with Sports Minister Bidoung Mkpatt and Roger Milla who challenged the Lions to stand up to the task and defeat Niger in the upcoming double header.

The Lions will hold a training session later this evening before one final session tomorrow ahead of Friday's game.

The second leg takes place four days later in Yaounde with the aggregate winner progressing to the group stage and final round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
