Franck Kom wins Confederation Cup with Etoile

Franck Kom and his team mates of Etoile Sportive of Sahel are in seventh heaven after claiming the Caf Confederation Cup title on Sunday evening against South African side Orlando Pirates

A first-half goal from Ammar Jemal, who equally scored in the 1-1 draw in the first leg, to claim a 2-1 aggregate victory and lift Africa's second-tier club trophy.

Franck Kom who was a mainstay in the middle of the park in both legs and was very pivotal in a defensive displayes in the second leg where the Tunisians dropped deep to protect their lead.

This is the second Confederation Cup trophy Etoile are lifting after 2006 but the first for the Indomitable Lion.

The 24-year old joined the club from Panthere of Nde in 2012 and has made close to 100 appearances winning two domestic Cup titles and has today added the Confederation Cup to his trophy cabinet.
